On the part of the way to Santiago de Compostela which crosses the Berry,

When leaving Vézelay, you can choose to follow either the northern side or the southern side of the path to Santiago de Compostela, both connect in Gargilesse after having crossed the Berry (departments of the Cher, the Indre, and the Creuse via Crozant).

The northern part of the route to Santiago de Compostela starts in Berry after La Charité sur Loire and continues through Bourges, Issoudun, Chateauroux, Argenton sur Creuse, Gargilesse and Crozant.
The southern part starts in Berry after Nevers and continues by Sancoins, Saint-Amand-Montrond, La Châtre, Gargilesse and Crozant.


Paths are marked out by the association of "The friends of Saint Jacques de Compostelle en Berry" (sign with a yellow shell on a blue background). The Tourist Office offers a list of accommodation available for pilgrims.
