A little bit of history...

The construction of the Canal by the Duc de Berry lasted from 1808 to 1840. All along, towpaths invite you to walk, to cycle, to fish and its locks bear witness to its past. The aqueduct of the Tranchasse spans the river Cher, it is 96m long and has 8 arches.

The Canal de Berry is now a tourist asset. Every year in August, the « Fête des Berges du Canal » at Saint-Amand-Montrond attracts thousands of visitors.

In Drevant, navigating in electric boats will allow you to discover relaxing landscapes as well as the flora and fauna of the Canal de Berry. Circuit  of 3,2 km and 3,8 km.
